Screen Bolt is built with privacy at its core. Your recordings, edits, and exports are processed entirely on your Mac. We never upload, view, or store your content.

Information We Collect

Screen Bolt does not collect personal information. We do not require an account, email address, or login to use the app. The website does not use cookies or analytics.

Local Processing

All screen recording, video editing, and exporting happens locally on your device. Screen Bolt uses Apple's ScreenCaptureKit and AVFoundation frameworks. No content is ever sent to external servers.

Third Parties

We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties. Screen Bolt connects to Polar.sh only for license activation and to its own update server for new release notifications. Neither of these involves your recordings or personal content.

Data Security

Because your data never leaves your Mac, security is inherent in the design. Screen Bolt does not maintain servers that store user content. Your recordings are as secure as your local file system.
